Dr. Bruto is a Clinical Neuropsychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Health Psychologist, and Rehabilitation Psychologist with more than 35 years of experience across hospitals, rehabilitation centers, primary care, long-term care, and private practice. She provides comprehensive neuropsychological and psychological assessment and evidence-based treatment for adults, seniors, adolescents, and children. Her expertise includes the diagnosis and management of cognitive decline, dementia, concussion, traumatic brain injury, stroke, and other medical and neurological conditions. She also assesses ADHD, learning disabilities, and a broad range of psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and psychotic disorders. Dr. Bruto has a special focus on geriatric mental health, caregiver support, and non-pharmacological strategies for managing behavioral changes in dementia. In addition to her clinical work,
Dr. Bruto has extensive experience in rehabilitation, psychotherapy (CBT, DBT, CPT, CBT-I, activation, problem-solving therapy), and return-to-work/school planning. She frequently collaborates with physicians, insurers, employers, educators, and legal professionals. A dedicated teacher, mentor, and researcher, Dr. Bruto has trained countless students and professionals, served on research ethics boards, co-authored peer-reviewed publications, and contributed to national clinical practice guidelines in delirium and vascular cognitive impairment. She is registered with the College of Psychologists & Behavioral Analysts of Ontario. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Bruto enjoys time with family and friends, reading, lively conversations, and exploring her interest in interior design.
