Dr. Julie Longard is a Registered Psychologist who specializes in work with children/youth and their families. She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Dalhousie University in 2018. Dr. Longard works with children and youth experiencing challenges related to low mood, anxiety, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder, disruptive behaviour, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Dr. Longard provides evidence-based therapy using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). Dr. Longard also provides various diagnostic assessments, including assessments for autism spectrum disorders (ASD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorders (ADHD), and psychoeducational assessments for school-aged anglophone students. Psychoeducational assessments can help to provide an understanding of children’s cognitive and academic functioning, along with practical recommendations to help support their learning and development.
