Kimberley Blunden

Candidate Registered Psychologist

Kimberley Blunden received a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from McGill University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (with Honours) from Mount Allison University. Her experience is primarily in community and university settings, where she provided therapy, vocational counselling, and psychological testing to adults with a broad range of clinical issues and concerns.

Kimberley has a collaborative and flexible approach to therapy, where treatment is tailored to each unique individual. Her theoretical background is integrative, drawing from various modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic therapy. She believes it is important to integrate evidence-based practices with each individual’s needs and preferences to determine the overall approach. Through a non-judgemental and supportive therapeutic environment, Kimberley aims to develop a space where clients may access their inner strengths and overcome their life challenges. She is also trained in trauma-focused therapies including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).

Kimberley’s current clinical interests include, but are not limited to, working with trauma, anxiety, depression, interpersonal difficulties, self-esteem, stress, grief and loss, and adjustment concerns in adult and veteran populations. She is particularly interested in working with the impact of loss and trauma on adults and supporting trauma recovery with the goal of better overall health.
