Kristen offers individual therapy to adults seeking support in the introspective work of healing your relationship to Self, attachment wounds, and relational traumas. She is drawn to working with folks who might be noticing painful relationship patterns, feel stuck in a loop of relational ambivalence, or might be in an anxious-avoidant dance and craving a deepened sense of closeness. Others might be navigating difficult family relationships and questioning estrangement and boundaries. Kristen places high-value on the relationship we have with our Self and therefore, she is interested in supporting those who might be noticing a harsh inner-critic, self-doubt, the urge to people please, or disconnection from Self (the person you are and want to be; at your core).
Kristen’s practice is informed through the lens of Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trauma-Focused Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (TF-ACT), attachment theory and somatic mindfulness. Kristen is also in the process of becoming certified in Attachment-Focused Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (AF-EMDR).
“I am here to provide a safe space for the parts of you that are asking to be seen, heard and understood in a way that is transformative to your inner and outer worlds. When you show up for your Self, I will show up for you to provide a reparative experience (mind, body, spirit).”
Kristen welcomes referrals from Halifax Fire, RCMP, CAF Members and Veterans and assures her background reflects an understanding of the unique culture and experiences faced by these valued individuals.
