Leah Stall

M.A., Psychologist (Candidate Register)

Leah Stall believes healing occurs within an empathic, open, and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship. She prioritizes creating a space where clients feel heard, seen, and supported to lay the foundation for self-discovery and growth. Leah strives to practice with cultural humility, an intersectional lens, and in an LGBTQIA+ affirmative way. She works with students and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional challenges, life transitions, stress, interpersonal problems, trauma, grief, and loss, among other difficulties. Leah joins her clients in exploring their inner world, patterns, needs, and empowers them to create meaningful change in their life.

Leah takes an evidence-based, integrative approach to therapy and primarily draws on attachment science, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Humanistic therapy, Mindfulness, and Self-Compassion. She integrates other approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioural (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) based on individual client needs. Leah regularly engages in professional development training and self-study and is currently developing her skills in trauma-focused therapies.

Leah earned a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from McGill University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Dalhousie University. She completed her clinical training in university and private practice settings. Leah also has clinical research experience investigating novel pharmacological treatments for Alzheimer’s Disease. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, running, and spending time in nature with her dog.
