Lisa graduated from UPEI in 2001 with a BSc. in Psychology, where she also worked as a Research Assistant and Assistant Project Coordinator. She moved to Calgary shortly afterwards and worked for 18 years in various hospitals and programs. She began working in neuropsychological assessment and research coordination at the Alberta Children’s Hospital in 2003, with traumatic brain injury, oncology, and epilepsy populations. In 2007 Lisa moved on to working in mental health with adults and also inpatient psychiatry with adolescents, in psychological assessment as well as program coordination. Lisa also has training in Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and holds a coaching certification through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She moved back to PEI in 2021, and shortly afterwards began working with Serene View Ranch as a program coordinator and program developer for their new Stabilization, Grounding, and Resiliency (SGR) program for indigenous veterans and female veterans. She has a strong interest in mental health, specifically complex trauma, and is very happy to be working with Serene View Ranch serving these underserved populations.
