Robb believes in an emotion-focused, client-centred, educationally-driven approach. He works with clients to explore patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviours to help develop insight and understanding, and create a collaborative treatment plan to address each client’s individual needs and life circumstances. He frequently draws from evidence-based processes in cognitive-behavioural traditions through modalities such as CBT, ACT, and mindfulness-based techniques, as well as incorporating relational elements to explore change through the power of the therapeutic relationship. Robb works with adolescents and adults to address challenges with anxiety, depression, identity issues, values clarification, obsessive-compulsive behaviours, executive functioning challenges, trauma, grief, and major life transitions. Robb has a particular
interest in working with LGBTQIA2S+ and neurodiverse populations, as well as veterans and first responders.
Robb believes that every person is doing their best with what they have in the moment, and that no one chooses to suffer. Robb believes building understanding of maladaptive patterns can help empower people to make choices in their life, and move towards things which are meaningful to them. Robb values a casual communication style, respect, and collaboration in his work to make each client feel safe and comfortable to explore what matters most to them.
