It took me many years to understand what mental health really meant. Coming from a South Asian community, the concept of mental health was, and unfortunately still is, a stigma. While growing up as part of a minority, I struggled to understand my surroundings and process my emotions. I now know how important it is to be aware of your thoughts and feelings, and that it is not easy to maintain such things. While I did not have the support and guidance of a therapist growing up, I hope to provide that for those going through their own struggles, and advocate and educate the importance of mental health. Aproaches: Person-centered, Strength-based, Emotion-focused, Solution-focused.
