Professional & Academic Background

Amber holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology, graduating cum laude from the University of Maine at Presque Isle, along with a degree in Human Services. She is a certified ICF Coach and a licensed Neuro-Link practitioner, and is currently preparing to sit for her Board Certification in Neurofeedback through the BCIA. With plans to complete her Master’s degree within the next two years, Amber is committed to deepening her expertise and advancing her clinical practice. Her training has been shaped by mentorship from respected leaders in the neurofeedback field, grounding her work in both academic rigor and real-world expertise.

Why They Chose This Work

Amber’s decision to found Untangled Minds Neurofeedback Clinic in Oxford NS and partner with Nuvista Mental Health was rooted in a simple but powerful belief: that everyone deserves access to brain-based care, especially in communities where those options are limited. She wanted to bring something new to Cumberland — not just a service, but a new lens. One that asks not ‘what’s wrong with you?’ but ‘how does your brain work, and how can we work with it?’”

Outside the Office

When she’s not in the office, Amber is a performing artist who loves time with her daughter and family. She is also deeply curious about the brain beyond the clinical setting, spending time developing educational content that brings neuroscience to a broader audience. Her guiding belief: to get the most out of life, we must first understand the machine that drives it.”
