Therapeutic Approach & Specialties

I have an integrated approach to therapy that includes EMDR (8 yrs +) , Interpersonal Process work, some CBT tools, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Mindfulness.

I specialize in working with young people, parents, couples, and their families. I place an emphasis on art and play therapy that allows young and old to explore their emotions even when they can’t seem to find the words.

Working in the field since 2017, I have come to understand that it is my privilege to hold other people’s stories and to be trusted to help them and their families heal.

Professional & Academic Background

I hold a Master of Arts degree in Counselling and Spirituality from St. Paul University in Ottawa Ontario. I am a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers (OCSWSSW) and participate in ongoing professional development to stay current.

Why They Chose This Work

Chantal believes the journey with clients is toward freedom. It is important for her that each client feels heard, seen, and understood from their perspective. Who I am is an important part of the therapy process. I believe that building a strong relationship of trust with a client is integral in their healing.

Outside the Office

When I’m not working I enjoy raising my children, creating art, volunteering in a Montessori based children’s program, listening to true crime and singing karaoke. I believe in the balance of responsibility and play.
