Why They Chose This Work
From a very young age, Cheryl enjoyed talking and connecting with people including strangers. She did not realize her calling until her second year of university after taking the Introduction to Psychology course. From this point, she became interested in learning about the different psychological struggles people could have and knew that she wanted to help individuals realize their potential strengths during times of stress. She values open communication, respect and tailoring treatment to the unique needs of each individual.
Outside the Office
When she is not working, Cheryl enjoys vacationing overseas to explore the culture and food of the country. She also considers herself a foodie and enjoy discovering (new) restaurants in Toronto and Montreal. She also has a love of Latin languages and is continually learning to increase her command of a foreign language which also helps her connect with locals when travelling abroad. Lastly, health and fitness are very important to her; she believes that these elements are necessary ingredients for self-care and enhances personal and professional growth.
