Therapeutic Approach & Specialties
Her approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based. Emma integrates modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma. She tailors her work to each client, with a focus on making therapy approachable, practical, and meaningful.
In addition to individual work, Emma offers parenting support sessions and has an interest in facilitating parenting groups to help caregivers feel more confident and supported.
Emma values advocacy as a core part of her role and strives to ensure clients feel heard, supported, and empowered. She is also happy to collaborate with other professionals to support coordinated, comprehensive client care.
When working with children, Emma incorporates creativity, play, and developmentally appropriate strategies to create a space that feels safe, engaging, and supportive of growth. She often works alongside her certified therapy dog, Ollie, who helps foster connection and comfort in sessions.
