Janelle is currently working with adults including older adults. She has a background in best practice treatments of mental health conditions (depression, anxiety, PTSD). She is trained in CBT, MBCT and EMDR. She aims to help: enhance well-being; build resilience; teach skills for self management of conditions and help decrease barriers to life goals. She hopes to provide a safe space to heal, grow and move ahead.
Professional & Academic Background
Janelle earned her Master in Social Work Clinical Stream (Indiviual, family, group) from Wilfrid Laurier University and Honors Psychology. She is registered with the Nova Scotia College of Social Work since 1998. She has worked across the life span in a community based outpatient mental health program and with medical teams including palliative care.
