Katie takes a client-centered approach to treatment with the aim of creating a safe, non-judgmental space that can promote helpful insight, self-growth, and improved quality of life. She works collaboratively with her clients using a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Mindfulness, and the Unified Protocol. She has experience treating adults presenting with a variety of difficulties, such as anxiety-related disorders (e.g., generalized anxiety, panic, OCD, etc.), depression, and post-traumatic stress.This experience includes work with specific populations (i.e., RCMP, Veterans). She also conducts psychological assessments for adults (e.g., psychodiagnostic and ADHD).
Professional & Academic Background
Katie is a Registered Psychologist who received her MA from the University of Toronto in 2017 and received her PhD from the University of Toronto in 2023. She has gained experience in a variety of clinical settings, including hospital outpatient and residential treatment services in Ontario and Nova Scotia. She frequently seeks ongoing professional development to stay current with new interventions and best practices.

Katie chooses to do this work because she believes that everyone deserves a safe place where they can be curious, express themselves, learn about themselves, and work towards the life they want to live. She values kindness, trust, openness, and meeting the unique needs of each person.
Outside the Office
Outside of work, Katie loves to be in nature as much as possible, whether it be hiking, camping, rockhounding, or going to the beach. On those rainy days, she tends to enjoy playing the guitar, dabbling in arts and crafts, or playing video games.
