Therapeutic Approach & Specialties
Breanna adopts a client-centred, compassionate approach to therapy, prioritizing the unique needs and goals of each individual. She utilizes evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients develop effective coping skills, challenge maladaptive thought patterns, and cultivate healthier cognitive frameworks. In working with individuals who have experienced trauma or suffer from PTSD, Breanna is skilled in identifying and addressing “”stuck points”” that perpetuate trauma, facilitating a path toward healing and resolution.
Breanna has developed a particular expertise in working with diverse populations, including adults, adolescents, military veterans, first responders, and individuals navigating workplace injury claims through the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). Her experience with these groups enables her to provide specialized support for those facing unique stressors and challenges in their personal and professional lives.
Professional & Academic Background
Breanna completed her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology at Queen’s University, followed by a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Committed to professional growth and best practices, Breanna is currently pursuing advanced education in trauma-informed care and neurofeedback.
