Shadi Mahmoodi

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Hello, welcome to my page, I am Shadi, Registered Psychotherapy (Qualifying). My approach to therapy is rooted in cultural humility, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed care. My goal is for you to feel seen, heard, and encouraged in our sessions. Exploring moments of vulnerability, building on your strengths, and addressing obstacles can be profoundly powerful. It would be a privilege to take these steps alongside you, delving into your stories and the richness of your experiences.

I spent the formative early years of my life on one continent before moving to Canada as a young adult. Here, I built a new life and experienced the unique ups and downs of crafting a bicultural identity. Navigating life as a young immigrant and daughter of parents establishing roots in a new land, I understand the complexities of balancing two worlds and the tension and beauty that come with it. This journey of riding life’s waves and navigating a multicultural reality led me to this field, where I felt most understood. I am here to provide you with a safe, comfortable space to explore your authenticity, emotions, and responses to life.
