Bianca believes in a client-centered, compassionate approach. He works with clients to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviours without judgment, tailoring evidence-based methods to meet each person’s needs. She frequently uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) mindfulness-based techniques, and to address challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions.
Bianca earned her Masters in Social Work from St. Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick. She is registered with the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers (NBASW) and participates in ongoing meetings and professional development to stay current with best practices in trauma care and therapeutic interventions. Prior to joining True North/Nuvisa, Bianca gained experience is in hospital in patient (acute care) , with five years serving at Addictions and Mental Health Services. While living in Toronto, she provided counselling at the scene for Toronto Police Force, Victim Services Unit. Her cumulative experience provides a level of understanding and respect for first responders, including military and emergency personnel.
Bianca believes strongly in the power of human connection, empathy and collaboration in the therapeutic process. Bianca uses a holistic approach to provide helpful coping skills and treatment for anxiety, depression, and trauma. She values open communication, respect, and tailoring treatment to the unique needs of each individual rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.
When she’s not working, Bianca enjoys working out at Journey Fitness, swimming, family movie nights, and playing with her dog.
