Brooke believes that therapy is most effective when it is rooted in a strong, authentic, therapeutic relationship. Her approach to therapy is client-centered and trauma-informed. She prioritizes creating a safe, respected environment and space where you feel heard. She ensures you will work together to make sense of your experiences and explore tools that align with your goals and values. She believes taking the first step and walking through this door takes incredible courage, and she will walk with you, honoring your story and offering support. This journey is not always easy, but you do not have to do it alone. Brooke specializes in grief, disenfranchised grief, and trauma. In addition to working with anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship difficulty, infidelity. She works with individual adults, young adults, adolescents, and couples.
Brooke draws from Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) among other modalities to help clients process their emotions and rewrite the story that they hold about themselves. Brooke hopes to support you in finding clarity, resilience, and a renewed sense of meaning, at a pace that feels right for you!
Professional & Academic Background
Brooke Stock is a Psychotherapist Intern currently completing her Masters of Counselling Psychology at Tyndale University. She also holds an Honors Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Criminology and Psychology from York University, with a concentration certificate in Mental Health and Counselling.
Her clinical approach is grounded in trauma-informed care, incorporating elements from Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. She is passionate about supporting individuals, adults and young adults, and couples, navigating their experiences of grief, depression, anxiety, trauma, and major life transitions.
Prior to her clinical training, Brooke developed extensive experience working for 5 and a half years in a high-stress, emotionally charged environment where empathy, emotional regulation, and active listening were essential, in addition to volunteering on the board of CAMH, advocating for families of patients. This background informs her calm, grounded presence and her ability to hold space for clients in vulnerable and challenging moments. She is committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental, collaborative environment.

Outside the Office
I believe, and practice all forms of mental, emotional and physical health. I prioritize this through daily walks and strength training. I am also a dedicated animal lover, and have rescued four of my own!
