Therapeutic Approach & Specialties
Carly’s practice is grounded in the understanding that effective healing involves the integrated functioning of the mind, body, and brain. She takes a holistic, nervous-system–informed approach, supporting clients as their nervous systems develop healthier and more adaptive patterns of regulation. In a world where many individuals experience feeling overwhelmed or stuck in repetitive cycles, Carly uses Neurofeedback as a tool to support balance, resilience, and increased self-awareness. Her work focuses on nervous system stabilization and re-organization, expanding each client’s capacity for flexibility and supporting sustainable change through improved self-regulation. She has a particular interest in helping individuals identify and shift limiting patterns held within the nervous system, supporting greater embodied awareness and reconnection with personal strengths, goals, and overall well-being.
Professional & Academic Background
Carly is a Registered Psychotherapist and Board Certified Neurofeedback Practitioner with the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance. She holds an Honours degree in Psychology, a Bachelor of Education, and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. Her clinical work is dedicated to guiding individuals through their Neurofeedback journeys across multiple clinics in Ontario, including her own in Peterborough, utilizing nervous-system–focused, ground-up approaches that address underlying dysregulation and interrupt persistent patterns impacting overall functioning.
Why They Chose This Work
Carly believes meaningful and sustainable change occurs when care moves beyond symptom management and addresses underlying patterns at a foundational, nervous-system level. She values individualized, collaborative approaches that support clients in strengthening self-regulatory capacity and building resilience. Her work is guided by a commitment to helping individuals reconnect with a deeper understanding of themselves, fostering long-term stability and well-being.
Outside the Office
When she’s not in the office, Carly enjoys living close to nature—spending time outdoors in the country, caring for her animals and plants, gardening, and traveling. She also loves creating music and is deeply passionate about cultivating and growing wellness-oriented communities.
