Danaka believes in a client-centered and compassionate approach to counselling. She has experience in offering interventions for a variety of presenting problems, including mood and anxiety related conditions, stress management, life transitions, perinatal stress, postpartum depression and anxiety, and parenting support. She also works with those looking to improve communication, relationships, assertiveness, confidence, lifestyle, and overall well-being. She uses Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), as well as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy as her primary intervention modalities. Danaka’s strength is her ability to connect well with others and deliver therapeutic methods with empathy and compassion in order to help clients create meaningful change in their lives.
Professional & Academic Background
Danaka completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology at the University of Regina in 2012. She is a Registered Psychologist with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists with Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE), which allows her to assess and diagnose psychological disorders. Danaka is a member of the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA). Danaka started her private practice work at Prairie Psychology in 2018. Prior to that, she has worked in the public sector since 2012.

When she is not working she is enjoying the company of her family, her friends, or a good book.
