Therapeutic Approach & Specialties

If anxiety, depression, or relationship struggles are weighing you down, you don’t have to face them alone. Many people feel overwhelmed by life’s challenges, and seeking support is a meaningful first step. In our work together, we’ll explore not just the symptoms you’re experiencing, but the deeper patterns, emotions and root causes underneath them.

I tailor therapy to your unique needs, drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and life transitions, as well as those hoping to strengthen their relationships or better understand themselves.

My priority is to offer a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space where you feel truly heard and supported. It would be a privilege to walk alongside you as you build clarity, resilience, and a greater sense of fulfillment in your life.

Professional & Academic Background

Deborah has completed her Masters degree in Clinical Counselling at Tyndale University. She has also obtained a B.Sc. in Science and Psychology from McMaster University. With over ten years of experience mentoring children, youth and adults, Deborah approaches her clients with compassion and empathy. In her spare time she has provided crisis support and intervention with the Distress Centres of Toronto and volunteers as a youth mentor.

Why They Chose This Work

I choose to do this work because I care deeply about helping people feel understood, supported and less alone. I’m drawn to walking alongside others through difficult seasons and helping them make sense of their experiences in a way that feels safe and empowering. It is meaningful to me to offer a space where people can grow, heal, and connect more fully with themselves and others. Being part of that process is something I find both humbling and deeply fulfilling.

Outside the Office

I love people. Outside of work you could often find me enjoying time with my husband, family and friends. I am also an outdoor enthusiast, an avid baker and enjoy rock climbing!

Ready to begin?

Everyone’s journey is unique, but you don’t have to walk it alone. Begin to understand your thoughts, reduce what’s overwhelming, and find clarity again. Take the first step now.
