Therapeutic Approach & Specialties

Erik works with clients who are motivated to create meaningful change but may feel uncertain about what’s getting in the way, or how to take the first step. He provides a supportive space to help you make sense of these challenges, gently guiding you through the obstacles that feel overwhelming or unclear. Together, you’ll explore the deeper roots of your struggles and begin to shape a personalized path forward. Erik’s approach centres on building self-awareness, equipping you with practical tools, and helping you move through life with greater clarity, confidence, and renewed hope.

Erik specializes in supporting individuals navigating anxiety and trauma, recognizing the deep and lasting impact these experiences can have. His approach fosters motivation and empowerment, helping clients make meaningful, sustainable changes. Together, you will work to unlock your strengths and begin a transformative journey toward healing and personal growth.

Erik is not your typical CBT therapist. While he offers practical, evidence-based strategies to help you manage thoughts and behaviours, he understands that life is often more complex than a single technique. His role is to help you understand yourself (not just your symptoms) so change feels authentic and lasting. Therapy with Erik is not meant to be a quick fix, but a supportive, engaging, and valuable space that you genuinely look forward to attending.

Professional & Academic Background

Erik earned his Master’s in Psychology from Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto, Ontario. He is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario as a Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and is committed to ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in trauma care and evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Erik is actively working toward completing the clinical hours and advanced training required to become a registered Psychologist, reflecting his dedication to expanding his expertise and providing the highest quality of care.
