Therapeutic Approach & Specialties

Taylor takes a client-centered, trauma-informed, and integrative approach to therapy, grounded in the brain–mind–body connection. She works collaboratively with clients to explore their internal system, including thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and physiological responses, within a supportive, non-judgmental space. Her work emphasizes parts work and Self-led awareness, tailoring interventions to individual needs and goals.
Her work draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), biofeedback & neurofeedback, somatic-based therapy, mindfulness practices, and creative and play-based modalities.
Taylor works with children, youth, and adults with developmental and complex trauma, attachment-related concerns, C/PTSD, anxiety, depression, OCD, and more.

Professional & Academic Background

Taylor is a Counselling Therapist (CT) with the College of Counselling Therapy PEI, where she also serves as a board member. She is a Board-Certified Biofeedback and Neurofeedback Clinician (BCB-L & BCN-L) with the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA), and a certified yoga teacher. She graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Master of Music Therapy in music-centered psychotherapy and completed specialized training in Neurologic Music Therapy.

Why They Chose This Work

Taylor believes in the capacity for healing through safe, attuned, and collaborative therapeutic relationships. She is drawn to this work through a deep respect for the brain–mind–body connection and a belief that meaningful change occurs when individuals feel supported in exploring and understanding their internal experiences.

She values individualized, flexible care that meets each person where they are, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, and is guided by empathy, curiosity, and a commitment to supporting clients in building resilience and lasting change.

Outside the Office

Outside of the office, Taylor spends most of her time with her family and two golden retrievers, Fenway and Leni. She loves being outdoors whenever she can, whether that’s hiking, biking, or doing yoga.
